Welcome

Welcome to A is for Albuterol, my blogging platform as I blog around the clock to fundraise for the Global Links Nebulizer Campaign!

HOW THE BLOG-A-THON WORKS: I will be updating this blog once every half an hour for 24 hours beginning on 9/1/12 at 8:00 a.m. Much like a walk-a-thon or swim-a-thon, I rely on sponsors making pledges and donations on my behalf as I complete the blog-a-thon to raise money for our fantastic charity.

WHAT IS GLOBAL LINKS? To learn more about Global Links, their nebulizer campaign and why this cause resonates so much with me, click here!

HOW TO DONATE AND SPONSOR ME: You can learn more about how to sponsor me and donate to Global Links by clicking here or using the widget to the right!

WIN PRIZES: For every $5 you donate to sponsor me in the Blog-A-Thon, you will be entered into a drawing to win prizes donated by our fabulous sponsors. These prizes include:

IMPORTANT -- PLEASE READ BEFORE DONATING!
When making a donation, please include your e-mail address with First Giving so I can notify you when you've won a prize! Thanks so much!

  4. Just sent in a donation - what a great support for a life-altering treatment! My oldest (almost 6) was hospitalized when RSV contracted into his lungs when he was 3. We also have a nebulizer and use this interchangeably with his inhaler. I can't imagine having to hear that heart-wrenching wheezing sound and not having any type of relief to offer your child. Thank you for raising money toward a piece of equipment we can easily take for granted! God bless!

    1. Stephanie, thank you SO much for your generous and thoughtful donation and your comment here! I'm so sorry to hear about your little one's struggle with RSV, too. It's such a rough battle. I can't even imagine either the thought of having to just listen to that awful wheeze and knowing there is nothing you can do about it. Your support means SO MUCH to me and to those we will be helping so that no child has to die from these respiratory conditions anymore. Thank you so much. <3
