Alright, it's 4:30 a.m. and I'm finally starting to slow down. I'm feeling my eyelids get heavy and the can of Coke I just downed doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore. 3 1/2 hours to go and I'm trying to take power walks through our house, up and down the hallways, to try to wake myself up a little without waking up everyone else. It's that time of...morning?...where even our cats are fast asleep.
I'm actually a little surprised I made it this far without feeling terribly tired, especially considering I went into this thing feeling like I had a cold, feeling exhausted and really regretting my decision to go on only one Starbucks today. Win!
We're almost there!
You're on the home stretch now! Sunrise won't be too far away, and then you're virtually there! You can totally, totally do this :)
ReplyDeleteSomething I always do on long haul flights when I'm feeling like rubbish is take one of the little warm face washers they offer and sit it over my eyes for a minute or so. If your eyes start to cave in, give it a go! Just soak it in warm-hot water and squeeze it out slightly. A-mazing.
