7:30 p.m. -- Musikgarten time!

If you're a parent, you know that babies love music. I started noticing that Ethan loved music back when I was pregnant -- certain songs would just soothe him and calm him or make him "dance" inside my belly. I used to joke around that he was a musician like my grandmother. No one in the family ever inherited her musical genius and beautiful voice and I'm determined that someday someone will -- and why not my kid, right?! My husband is a musician (though he'll likely deny it!) and played bass guitar in a band back when we were kids and first began dating so I figure that has to up my chances a little bit on having a musical child.

Whether he inherits his father and my grandmother's gift for music or my blatant tonedeafness, Ethan loves making music. Anything can be a drum, any song with a good beat is an excuse to drop his shoulders down and lift them up again to the rhythm. Throw in some bells and some scarves and some bongos and, well, Ethan is the happiest kid on the East coast!

Ethan and I were lucky enough to "meet" a fellow local mother through a local parenting community who graciously offered up not one but two fabulous prizes to be raffled off during the Blog-A-Thon and here is the first! Sarah is a Musikgarten instructor in Delray Beach, Florida. Musikgarten is a music and movement class for babies and children, helping them all find delight in creativity, music and rhythm. Sarah graciously offered one of my donors the chance to win a Musikgarten Baby Songs Book AND CD!

To those local moms interested in learning more about Sarah's Musikgarten class, it is held at Palms Birth House at 353 North Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach, FL. You can reach Sarah for more information at: canesarah@me.com!

And the winner is...
