While preparing for the Blogathon, I learned that in 1998, Sesame Street put out a 15 minute bilingual video called -- coincidentally -- A is for Asthma (I like the way you think, Sesame Street). The video features Dani, an asthmatic muppet, who must visit his doctor to receive a breathing treatment and learn about what to do when he has an ashtma attack.
The video can be downloaded for free online at the Sesame Workshop website and Sesame Street also put out a free PDF guide for parents of children with asthma.
Way to go, Sesame Street!
